I mean she must! Just look what she brought me yesterday!
This sweet little Fairy Tale Witch is named Evie. She has a beautiful cotton dress, a wonderful patchwork cape, a very cheery hat, and wonderfully soft purple hair. She has a loop on her back so she can be hung and I think she is going to be very happy keeping me company in my sewing room. She didn’t fly here on that goose (though I think they took to one another right away!), but she did come all the way from the UK. See the really cool stamp that paid her way? It is about 2 inches by 2 inches.
Evie was lovingly created by Jules of Adventures in Thread. She is an absolutely amazing artist. Not only does she make beautiful dolls, but she is an incredible embroiderer, too! If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting her yet, you really need to hop over to her blog. Now I have found that she is also an author of really great short stories for she included The Tale of Evie in my package! I can’t share the story with you as I didn’t write it, but it is 4 pages long and let me assure you that it has a very happy ending for lovely Evie! Jules says she writes stories for all her dolls. I think that is so neat!
It took me this long to post about Evie because I’ve been putting up tomatoes and baking banana bread all day. Tomatoes are done, but there will be more baking tomorrow – and there will be sewing, of course. I already made that declaration to my loved ones.
Thanks again, Jules! You are a very special person!

Evie is indeed a very lovely doll, Melissa. And how cool that she has her very own story. I will definitely have to go and check out Jules' blog. Thanks for sharing your special gift!
